Acts of Mercy: Visit the Imprisoned

Writer: Rebecca KarcherRebecca Karcher

People can be imprisoned by things beyond the iron bars of a jail. Many of our neighbors are bound up in the prison of addiction. The complicated process to break free can take time, and several attempts. We want to continue to see the humanity in those who are still held hostage to this condition.

Trinity works with Project.ME to help support an approach to recovery with dignity and grace. We’ll be gathering small snack items like protein bars or fruit cups for people who are living on the streets, and cash donations for laundry cards for people connecting with Project.ME now through Sunday, March 24.

Dear God, help me choose grace, patience, and generosity – the same things you give to me – when I see those whose lives have been shaped by unfortunate choices. And thank you for the grace, patience, and generosity of others when they see mine. Amen.
