Baptism Request
Whether by birth or by adoption, one of the most exciting events in our lives is a child entering the family. Whether it is your first or last child or one in-between, as Christians we look upon the gift of life as coming from God. It is a wonderful gift!
As a parent, you have the unique privilege of accompanying your child on a lifelong journey of faith. One of the first things parents need to decide is when to baptize their child. Lutherans baptize infants because of our understanding of baptism as a gift of grace from God, not something we earn or choose. Lutherans baptize infants, children, teens, or adults as the starting point of a life lived in faith.
Once you determine that you wish to have your child receive the amazing gift of baptism, there are several things you will need to do:
PRE-BAPTISMAL INSTRUCTION
Through time in conversation and learning, families will learn more about God's amazing promises and gifts shared with us as God makes us God's own children through Holy Baptism. Pastor Erdos will meet with you for Pre-Baptismal Instruction at any time that is mutually convenient. Contact Pastor Erdos to set up a time.
SCHEDULE THE BAPTISM
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism takes place during a worship service. We have regularly scheduled Baptism Festivals throughout the year.
SPONSORS
At one time Godparents or sponsors (we use those terms interchangeably) were the persons or family that would receive the child if anything was to happen to the parents, but now it is all about who can be there for your child to help him or her grow emotionally or spiritually. Parents may serve as sponsor for their child if they desire.
As a pastoral staff, we are here to meet your needs and deal pastorally with your concerns. Please don't hesitate to be in touch with us for assistance. Our prayer for you is that this may be an important and memorable day for you and your family as we share together in this Sacrament.
God bless you and the expected or new member of your family. May God in mercy and grace keep us all faithful to our baptismal promises, as God is faithful in keeping God's promises to us.

Wedding Request
Congratulations to you on your upcoming marriage. We believe that marriage is a gift of God that is a blessing to both the couple beginning their new family and a gift for the whole human family. The lives of a couple are a sign of God's gracious work in the world. As a couple learns to support each other, forgive each other and love each other they become together a reflection of God's hope for how people can be in the world.
At Trinity English, we hope to support and walk with you as you prepare for your wedding day and be present with you in your life together after your wedding. When we provide premarital instruction, part of the reason we do so is to help build a relationship between a couple and the parish. Each couple works with one of Trinity English's pastors to plan and prepare for their wedding. Please call the Church at 260.426.3424 to schedule a time to speak with a pastor and begin your preparations.
If you don't happen to have a church home, we will be pleased to speak with you about your wedding and the possibility of your wedding being at Trinity English. If you have never been to Trinity English, we would encourage you to first come and worship with us a couple of times, to see if we might fit together with your life as you move into the future. If you have any particular questions, please contact Pastor Erdos by phone at 260.426.3424 ext. 2210.

Funeral Request
A funeral liturgy is an expression of the Christian hope of the resurrection of all of God's faithful people through the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In this, a funeral at Trinity English is more than a memorial service. A funeral is an opportunity to give thanks for the life of someone we have loved, it is the comfort of standing together in the middle of grief and loss and it is an expression of hope for the future.
If you are planning a funeral or thinking about how you would like your funeral in the future, please call 260-426-3424 to speak with one of the Pastors.

Visitation Request
When you or a loved one can’t be part of the physical congregation, we still want to offer the connection to community through pastoral visitation. For anyone who is hospitalized or homebound or who can no longer make it to worship services, we will arrange to visit and bring Holy Communion. If you want more information for yourself or someone else, please contact Pastor Jeremy Russell at jrussell@trinityenglish.org or call 260-426-3424. We want to make sure everyone knows they’re an important part of our life, even when circumstances keep us apart.
Prayer Request
We welcome any and all prayer requests here at Trinity. If you have someone or something you would like the congregation to keep in their prayers, fill out this form.
